Mass Protest and Chaos in Greece:

February 28:

The whole country has come to a standstill after hundreds of thousands of people from every sector have taken to the street to demand justice for the country's deadliest ever train crash. All flights in the country have been cancelled including national and international after air traffic controllers have joined the protest with Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, etc. It is reported that over 350 thousands people were in protest around the country in a 24 hour general strike.

2 years ago in March 1, 2023 , A horrific head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train in central Greece has left at least 57 people dead and over 85 injured, marking one of the deadliest rail disasters in the country’s history. The tragedy, which occurred shortly before midnight on February 28 near the town of Tempe, has ignited nationwide outrage over chronic safety failures in Greece’s rail infrastructure.

Most of the Greeks people  beleived that the Government is involved in a cover up of evidence suggesting insufficient safety measures.

The main reason for the chaos was after 2 years later the investigation is still not finished, noone has convicted.

The separate inquiry found on thursady that the safety gaps that cause the train crash have still not been filled.

The Government has denied the allegation of cover up and their prime minister dismissed calls to resign acussing critics of attempting to destabilize the country.

Some group of people from protest were seen throwing petrol bomb to the police which forced the police to fire a tear gas.
